1:100 scale has a lot of airplanes and some misc stuff/figures and maybe exactly 1 train subject that looked like a toy. I don't believe this scale is used with model railroading.

A couple of new kits yesterday from Flames of War in 1:100
RWM Brand: Flames of War
They did run on railway tracks but the kit looks more like a military kit and so far no railway mates has it in their wishlist. Should they be cleaned too?
2 14 May, 06:47
Not every train belongs on railwaymates. A great example: BR 52 locomotives in scale 1:35 are not listed on RWM. SCM Topic: DR-Baureihe 52
If they would be in a typical scale/gauge, yes 🙂
I removed the FoW items in scale 1:100
ps: not an issue that they were there, more a reasoning for the clean up
2 14 May, 07:36
Cool. I wondered after I ticked them on for RWM and meant to revisit them, but then something shiny caught my attention, or I went to bed. 🙂

Are "trains" generally supposed to be "Functional Model Kits" or "Display Models"? Neither seems correct.
There are also a fair number of entries that are tagged for RWM, but I highly doubt would normally be considered train stuff and were tagged because they happened to have a common train scale. (If I still had a hobby shop, they'd be in the scale models area and not with the trains.)

Cool. Probably anything that's an aircraft or ship is suspect. I've seen some pretty amazing train layouts that included sail/motor boats but not big ships. Vehicles are probably mixed use, especially civilian.
And for sure, I'd defer to someone deep into railroad who wants something different.
I assume you don't want the wood track trains like Brio that my 4-year-old grandsons play with. 🙂

After last update of EMP3D kits on Scalemates some of them also ended up on Railwaymates. I've tried to remove the ✔️ from Railwaymates when editing, but it's impossible.
As far as I've been able to see until now (checking 50% of new entries) none of the 2026 releases fit Railwaymates' profile.
I suggest they're removed from R and maybe open up for removing and adding ✔️ under "Scope"?

Good morning,
While tidying up uncategorised models I ran into Triebwagen Roter Pfeil (Märklin 55267, 1:32) which had been set-up with no scale or track gauge. It's listed on the manufacturers website as gauge 1 (maerklin.de/en/products/details/article/55267).
Do we have automatic classification for gauge 1? To my knowledge this is 1:32 on 45mm track gauge, could the classification be added if it doesn't exist yet, please?
Many thanks,
Simon

Can this topic be renamed to SJ Gre OR SJ Gbs?
RWM Topic: SJ Gbs
I only found a Swedish wiki explaining their freight wagon system
svenskmjwiki.se/SJ_godsvagn_litt_Gre
They were named Gre when introduced in 1961. Name changed to Gbs in 1967 as a result of the UIC reform. Adding "SJ" in front of topic will make it easier to to find right topic when adding kits, even though a couple of other Scandinavian train companies also used these freight wagons.

In 2018 Phoenix Reproductions took over the stalled E bogie wagon project from Eureka and the E wagons were released in 2019. Phoenix suppled enough models to Eureka to fulfil their orders.

This is a long saga - originally ordered in 2011 with a promised delivery of early 2012. These arrived after the intervention of Phoenix models in October 2019 ! Basically 8 years late. Pack E2 contains a SAR O class bogie open wagon which is identical.

This was the low point of Austrains as the short T has three ice hatches and the this model has two! They are pretty crappy hatches as well. John Essie would have known this but the model was released anyway. The photo shows the absence of ice hatches.
