Lockheed T-33A Shooting Star 53-5819 81 TFW USAFE
1October 3, 2022All parts are plated with “chrome” (actually aluminum)
2October 29, 2022Tamiya yellow spray paint without primer did not cover the plating well. Tamiya primer did cover the plating well.
3October 31, 2022Trying perfect plastic putty + Molotow pen to fill gaps between plated parts.
4November 6, 2022Painted jet engine and stand
5November 7, 2022A bunch of the parts are only partly plated. The seller had to know this as the kit had been re-packed and inventoried. Oh well.
I bought a partial kit for $10 and although it says some of the parts are scratched, I’ll do what I can to piece one kit together.
