I tried using dullcote and it washed all the pastels off first try. Did it again a 2nd try and used Vallejo airbrush thinner as a fixative at low pressure very thin coat. It seemed to work. Then I used a pencil to highlight the track.

Using brass channels to raise the exhaust so it fits on the hull. Making rivets with pin heads. 

Well they looked bigger on the internet. The small size is a 3mm x 3mm cross. I was hoping the big ones would be bigger, to fit the scale of the vehicle. Maybe I should look into the Eduard masks 

The decals are very thick and have an odd bubbly surface, but you go to war with the decals you have 

Leathery decals. Of course they break apart too! 

 

“Rusted” the exhaust and glued it to the tank. Last bit of assembly is complete. Next up, some touch ups and then weathering
