Stadteckhaus im Umbau
1April 3, 2026After I finished the house under breakdown, I wasn't satisfied with the result. I thought it a nice idea to put a house under construction next to it, kit 232149. But this turned out to be a bit of a deception, since it was very small. So when I saw a kit for a house under reconstruction, I bought it
2April 3, 2026The model represents a house from which the roof is under reconstruction. The roof looks very impressive
3April 3, 2026The facade has a lot of details. Unfortunately, you won't see much of it, since the building is with the rear to the viewer. I used a wash to make the floor of the attic looks a bit nicer.
4April 3, 2026There's a pub at the ground-floor and I decided to go for an Irish pub. I used some of the parts that were not mentioned in the instructions, such as the signpost.
The only thing on this kit which is a bit disappointing, is the scaffolding. There are no ladders and it doesn't reach up to the roof!
I weathered the beams of the roof and added to builders.

6April 3, 2026The scaffolding and the name of the builder
7April 3, 2026This is the rear side of the building facing the viewer. When I was in Germany on holiday last autumn, I took a lot of pictures and they were perfect to make this wall look a bit more pleasant. I made decals of them and applied them on the wall. I also weathered the all a bit.
8April 3, 2026The two houses next to each other: new and old! Of course, there's a lot to do to make this look like a real city.
9April 3, 2026A very brave workman doing some work on the roof. Another man working on the chimney. I didn't like the idea of a fierce rain-shower damaging the building. So I used a piece of plastic coated paper that is used to sell cheese on the market. Removed the papier and airbrushed the plastic with orange paint. I like the result!
