Bought myself some junk lately 🙂 

 

And cleaned it a bit today. The original DDR silver and black paints hardly react to Wamod's cleaner 🙂 

Hereby I announce I have joined the (in)famous Fellowship of The Pink Primer 😛 

The builder glued the engine nacelles upside down, so I have to break them off and reglue correctly (that DDR glue is really strong 😄) 

Rainy weekends always speed up the projects 🙂 

Tail skid is missing, need to add it. 

I wanted to have the rivets and panel lines hardly visible on the white part, so I sanded the white primer a bit, so the raised details sport the darker primer underneath. 

Then added the missing lines and rivets and sprayed last white layer on the top. 

 

Finished the main spraying, however the paint peeled off here and there. 

Once I thought of the home stretch, then it fell down from my workbench 🙁 

But as I bought the very last stock of this decal set I decided to fix it. 

In order to avoid overspray near the engines, I experimented with these hand made "fading alu" decals 🙂 

And that's the current state, couple of details waiting to be added. 

I impressed myself tonight 😮 

Time for whiskers... and new gear door, damn it :/ Btw. You can see here my poor windshield alignment too.
And the silver decals, which turned out to be too thick 🙁 

It turned out it's too big to fit into my biggest scenery set - The Hangar 🙁
