Did you paint the tail lights with an airbrush or a brush?

I've never seen this kit assembled.
But looking at your photos, I've come to the conclusion that resin models are of much lower quality than cast ones.

@modelR Everything I do is with a brush. I know I could probably get a better result with an airbrush but I've never liked the idea of working with an airbrush. It seems like such a faff and I'd have to store all the equipment.

@Andrei Yeah, all the resin kits I've made have been pretty low detail but it is the only way to get models of some of the cars I want to add to my collection. And they are so much more expensive and difficult to paint too.

I paint the lights with brush but Imthink that the result is not good enough, with my next kit I'll try to paint them with the airbrush.

I haven't built a resin kit but I agree that they are expensive

I'd assume that an airbrush would give you a nicer result on the lights. Fingers crossed it works out for you on your next build.

Новая смола очень хорошая, в отличии от старой.
У меня есть 2 смолы.
"Старая школа "
Ferrari 512bb от studio 27 .
"Новая школа"
Lexus lc500 от PZY models.

Координально разные они.
Ferrari 2005-го года выпуска. Кузов более менее, есть фото травление, но не много.
У неё делали отлиты из олово, и это позорище, всё в порах. Окрашивать и собирать это нереально.
И Lexus . Он свежий 2025-го . Фото травления 6 листов. Я в восторге от качества сьыкуемости и отлива.

Есть еще и фирма Alfa models. Они же hobby design.
Модели у них когда какие, но в целом оч хорошие. Бывают косяки, но в целом народ о них хорошо говорит.

Those PZY and Alfa models do look much better quality. Unfortunately they don't currently look to make any rally cars that I would be interested in.

Меня самого расстраивает то, что они только современное делают.
Мне авто младше 2004 года вообще не интересны. 😁
Ну ток за некоторыми исключениями.

@Ruslan, но те же Alfa models очень дорогие в сравнении с обычным литьём. И да, они не делают раллийные.

@Ruslan I get what you mean about newer cars. The cars I get most excited about are the ones I played on video games as a kid. This is one of the starting cars from Colin McRae Rally so that's why I had to build this kit even if it is not that great quality.
