Smooth spraypaint turned out like sanding paper when dry...
This has been stripped to spray another colour... 

 

Already looking better...

From this kit I took some stuff to place on the luggage carrier, not sure yet if I will use it on this Beetle? 

 

Decals from the Beetle kit are thick stickers, not the ones I like to use on my model... 

..so I took this kit to use these decals instead... 

..lots of choice here. 

Due to not finding other decals for the numbers...
