Mitsubishi Lancer Evo III - 1000 Lakes Rally 1995

 

 

 

This kit came with plastic sheets to cut into strips for the seat belts, I've not had great success with those before, I can't get them cut straight. So I used painted masking tape again, which worked well before. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I tried to use the masking stickers on this but again the paint just seemed underneath them leaving spidery black lines so I quickly washed that off and painted this by hand. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The wheel arches don't align with the front wheels that well, they are very close to the back edge. There is not enough space to turn the wheels which is a bit disappointing. 

 

 

 

I'm leaving this project as still in progress as I want to put a coat of clear gloss on top of the decals but I have run out. 

Finally finished this. I know it looks exactly the same as before but it now has some clear coat over the decals which should hopefully keep it looking good for longer.
