Yep, apart from the brass undercarriage (bogeys). I was left a part built GP40 when my dad passed away, trouble is he got the dimensions wrong and it was 4cm too short, and not the right height.
I have to consider that if it's wrong, it is not correct, and the task will be harder to amend the build to match its size.
So I'm starting again. I found some drawings online and scaled them using Photoshop. I intend to RC it too. Then I'll have to lay some track in the garden.

Pull up a chair and watch this scratch build. I'm sure CP rail would want to see this.

It's still coming along slowly, when i achieve something big on it I'll post a visual update.
I'm just doing lots of small steps at the moment. I have done the fuel tank, twice actually, the first attempt was a bit out of shape.

Will you be having it as a static model ? or are you intending have it as a running model?
Fantastic either way πππ

I have it motorized. It will be RC with a 9.6v battery inside.
But mainly it will be static. I don't have a train set to run it on.

you motorize it, but donΒ΄t have a track? Kind of a cross country locomotive? 😉

Man that is good stuff, almost a shame all that scratchbuilt goodness is buried under that thick coat of red paint 😄
