Piper at the gates of D-Day

I realised too late it probably should be interior green 

 

After all I decided to repaint it, not sure Lifecolor Interior Green is the best match, but at least it's green 

Time to glue all the transparencies together - that's the trickiest part 

Starts to look like a Piper now, though my brass marker tells me there's some filling&sanding ahead 

So I left the tail in the water overnight to get rid of the masking fluid. And this is what I ended up with - no matter how much I'd have tried intentionally I'd never get that perfectly faded look 

Mr Masking Sol - definitely not recommended! At least not outside the transparencies. 

Reinforcements have arrived 

Greenhouse almost completed 

Cockpit sealed, masking commenced 

Neutral Grey is there 

After all I tried to mask the blotches 

And here the result, not sure why it looks darker than in reality 

 

I wish the opacity was my only concern 🙁
