Piper at the gates of D-Day
May 4, 2024I realised too late it probably should be interior green
May 4, 2024
May 5, 2024After all I decided to repaint it, not sure Lifecolor Interior Green is the best match, but at least it's green
May 5, 2024Time to glue all the transparencies together - that's the trickiest part
May 5, 2024Starts to look like a Piper now, though my brass marker tells me there's some filling&sanding ahead
May 14, 2024So I left the tail in the water overnight to get rid of the masking fluid. And this is what I ended up with - no matter how much I'd have tried intentionally I'd never get that perfectly faded look
May 14, 2024Mr Masking Sol - definitely not recommended! At least not outside the transparencies.
May 16, 2024Reinforcements have arrived
May 18, 2024Greenhouse almost completed
May 20, 2024Cockpit sealed, masking commenced
June 1, 2024Neutral Grey is there
June 7, 2024After all I tried to mask the blotches
June 7, 2024And here the result, not sure why it looks darker than in reality
June 8, 2024
June 10, 2024I wish the opacity was my only concern 🙁
