For a second there I thought Iw as looking at the real thing. Amazing job! The shading on the canopy is really well done.

Thanks Mike. It's unusual for me to bash a kit out in a short time. I'd like to track down the British army version.
I'm back building the AVRE now. That should last me all year.
I didn't fuss over the canopy, I just primed it and used the topcoat to shade it, sometimes less is more as they say (and just a tiny bit of thinned grey oil paint)

Thanks, it's probably more convincing because I used a proper camera to take the pictures.

Andy, apart from the fact that I really like your Land Rover, it also looks pretty much the same as the real one, which is owned by a friend of mine who lives in the country. And that's beautiful, too. So it made me happy twice, actually three times... Beautiful model, beautiful subject and very nicely photographed. ๐Ÿ‘

Thanks guys, having killed off my Facebook account over a year ago, I like the community here a lot more. The standard of some of the work on Scalemates is incredible. The interaction is more subtle and more appreciated.

I've got to agree Andy, the community here, is far better, and helpful, than on the social platforms. For want of a phrase, better clientele?
Nice work mate, on the Landy. The pictures definitely set it, in it's right environment.

There is no place you can get as much information about any kit as you can here
even if there is kits that are not on the database
We can add them
We are part of developing the site
Its what makes it as good as it is
We can pick our interest
and sure many here bend over to help out with ideas
there is always someone that will pop in to help out
I also think its nice scalemates don't restrict what kits are allowed
Like fb jdm
Thay are always harping on about some one putting a build up that's not a jdm
and kicking people of for it
Not a good atmosphere

I've spotted that there's a wiper blade missing. Not sure how to find another.

I have emailed italeri about warped parts before and they've sent new replacements, even for discontinued kits. They will likely help with lost parts to.

Absolutely superb build Andy, well done. The paintwork and finishing is top notch. Some of your photos look like the real thing, I had to do a double-take ! Excellent work.

It's funny that the kit i spent the shortest time on gets the most likes.
Might help me save some money in future....said no ever.

It's possibly down to your eye-catching photographs of the excellent Land Rover model in natural environment that attracts viewers who appreciate it.

Time is like toilet paper. You only need it when you're in the s**t!
I've gotta agree with Warren, those outdoor photos make it come to life. Definitely worth of a magazine spot. Great job 👍
