Sub assemblies  

 

SMS Jet Black base coat deliberately mottled and with random strokes

SMS Metallics Silver coat mottled and randomly airbrushed  

Toned down with SMS Barley Grey, most of the internal surfaces of the tipper completely covered with Barley Grey, surfaces were scored and sanded with 120 grit before paint. The internals will be extensively rusted

Most of the paintwork is done. As assembly begins, weathering and details will be added 

I'm not sure about the Dark Green I used on the cab and panels, they may be changed to another colour. 

 

 

 

 

SMS Acrylic Lacquers used so far  

Engine is painted SMS German Sand Yellow, oil stains and leaks will be added
