Wow! I wasn't aware of this plane. Following with a lot of interest!
22 July 2023, 19:04
Welcome mates.
Me neither, until I visited the Duebendorf museum 🙂
24 July 2023, 08:32
I'm also curious about Dübendorf, now the Alptransit tunnel is closed, but It should be a nice trip from southern Alps
23 August 2023, 18:16
Well, I visited Dübendorf only once, more than a decade ago. Not that the Switzerland changes very quickly, but it was a while ago 😉
Not the biggest one I've been to (don't expect the size of Duxford), but very interesting. As it's in CH, there are many unique airplanes on display, so highly recommended.
The C36 was unfortunately parked the way you couldn't see the interior v.well, so there's a lot of guesswork involved in this build. Kora's kit has the same interior setup for all C36 versions which is not true for sure.
24 August 2023, 09:44
Welcome amigo 👍 I had to use some brute force today, but the fuselage has been closed
8 October 2023, 21:31
Well, it's time for me to take a seat here too, especially because i have this kit in my stash and live 10 minutes from Duebendorf 😉
9 October 2023, 04:06
...At the end of the day, I've also bought this kit! Great progress 👍
9 October 2023, 05:41
Thanks a lot, it's sort of on hold currently, as I prefer sanding the resin kits outdoors 🙂
6 January 2024, 21:25
I agree with you, Łukasz 👍
Despite this, it is advisable to use a mask or you can even sand inside a bag if you do not do it outdoors. Resin dust is toxic and can be carcinogenic.
7 January 2024, 20:37
Consider wet sanding. It ameliorates the dust problem considerably. Not using a dust mask when dry sanding resin isn't the most brilliant idea - being it in- or outside.
7 January 2024, 20:52
Just to be clear, inside or putside - mask is always there, I just skip cleaning the residue from the modelling room 👍
7 January 2024, 21:33
CA glue and some fancy sand from Revell Fix kit. Still, lots of sanding ahead
8 April 2024, 12:00
Cool project although I missed the first part! I am reserving my seat.
8 April 2024, 18:50
Welcome Thomas, great to see you here. I advanced a bit lately and managed to force the canopy into submission (just in case you wondered - there are 2 pieces in the kit)
18 August 2024, 15:07
I've had the same issue with vacu canopies. Each one has gotten a little better for me.
18 August 2024, 15:22
Welcome folks, progress is slow, but I hope to start painting soon (this year at least)
5 September 2024, 18:24
Welcome JK 👍
After priming I found out a lot of bubbles in the resin, in particular on the fuselage - trying to locate and fill'em all.
20 October 2024, 20:09
I'm glad to see this project being resumed, Łukasz.
If you can't get rid of any bubbles, you can say they are bullet holes or pellet holes 😛
21 October 2024, 18:56
Many thanks for following, finally the painting phase has been started.
White went first, now time for masking, which is a challenge in case of Swiss neutrality markings.
1 25 December 2024, 22:14
The red has been added today, I used Tamiya X-7, now wondering if it's not too dark 🙂
5 January 2025, 20:47
In the pic it looks a bit darker than the red on the decals, but it's better to see it with your own eye. Anyway, there seems to be little difference 👍
I'm glad to see this project up and running again 🙂
6 January 2025, 18:13
It was up & running all the time, just too many things to correct and fix 🙁
Meanwhile I oversprayed the Tamiya's red with Mr Color Super Italian Red, but forgot to take a picture 😄
The light blue RLM65 is drying right now, only dark green left.
2 6 January 2025, 20:50
Welcome Jennifer, just in time to take a look at the main colours.
In the end I made my own green by mixing 50/50 the NATO Green (I know it should be neutrality camo 😉) and RLM71
Next stage - corrections 🙂 lots of them.
11 January 2025, 11:23
Łukasz, you've moved on nicely. It's turning out to be a great model. 🙂
11 January 2025, 12:00
Thanks mates, give me some time for corrections (mainly tail and cowling need it)
1 13 January 2025, 20:35
Well, I have installed the undercarriage today just to find out Kora provided two left wheels 😄
They are delivered as "weighted" (or at least that's how I cut them off the resin block 😄) and the right wheel has the "weight" in the front while the full tyre is where it meets the ground 😄
Will fill it soon, stay tuned
2 9 February 2025, 20:42
It was time today to start decalling and what a disappointment it is!
The dog noseart is full of brown-ish halftone - I'm correcting it by hand. Yellow triangles are the same.
Moreover - the decals are very thin, very translucent and the crosses are oversized. I should have painted them on my own 🙁
Luckily MarkI issued some replacement for Swiss marking, I need to order them. The other markings will need also corrections by hand.
I don't think I'll finish before Wrocław Model Show unfortunately 🙁
22 March 2025, 20:48
I'm very sad to hear that! I have the same kit and also I should have some Swiss markings... I'll check tomorrow If my kora decals are better (I don't think so but maybe), and, in case, I could send it to you...
22 March 2025, 21:15
Mille grazie Moreno, but I think all the boxings have the same decal set. The replacement set has multiple sizes, so I think one them will match after all.
1 22 March 2025, 21:23
That is disappointing Lukasz. I'm sorry you may miss your Model Show.
1 23 March 2025, 01:50
I am sure this will be one great model in the end to be proud of, but you seem to pick your themes where you are bound to struggle.
1 23 March 2025, 05:50
@Łukasz: I just checked my box and I discovered that contains the kit 72127, the efw c-3603 with new wings 🙂 Some confusion by my friends at kora and LF models ahah. I can't help you, but I'm sure you will obtain a great model, overall!
1 23 March 2025, 08:31
We shall see - the replacement decals' ETA is Tuesday 🙂
I already scraped off the crosses
1 23 March 2025, 20:37
So, the Mark1 crosses are as white as the GX1 is 👍
I used the doubled numbers from the Kora set (C, 5 & 8 ) to make them as white as I could.
The others (dash, 0 & 3) will need brushpainting, but that needs sealing the decals first.
17 May 2025, 20:14
Very cool! This is a very good looking version of this paint scheme! I like it!
1 17 May 2025, 20:21
Thanks mates.
Do we have any experts here regarding the history of C-36? I know it had four small windows at the bottom side of the fuselage (for the gunner I believe), [img1] but on some photos they seem either blinded [img2] or removed.

1 8 November 2025, 19:25
Maybe I can reach out some friends at IPMS Switzerland and get some info...😉
1 8 November 2025, 20:45
And today I pushed it across the finish line. Phew, it was a very loooong and challenging project.
Thank y'all for your motivationg support, otherwise it would've taken twice that long 😄
PS. As it's the middle of the winter in here, I had like 10-15 minutes of the sun today through my window, but I managed to take all these pics 👍
1 15 December 2025, 16:32
I am impressed with your perseverance and skills, Łukasz! You've done a terrific job! (and you made me re-consider purchasing the turbo-prop tug version of this kit... 😉 )
1 15 December 2025, 18:56
Well done mate 👍🏻 ...And sorry, I wasn't able to find any info.
In any case, your work really inspires to start my model😁
1 15 December 2025, 19:27
congrats on this one! I followed your build - you are now one of the very few who brought this over the finish line👍
1 15 December 2025, 19:30
Your pictures came out great!!! Congrats on finding some sunshine!!!
1 15 December 2025, 19:43
You are a brave and patient man, Łukasz! Very nice result and a really unique subject! Hats off to you.
2 15 December 2025, 22:11
Many thanks mates, your comments are much appreciated and motivate to carry on with the selection of next resin kit to fight 😄
5 16 December 2025, 17:18
amazing! is the kit simple, as I am considering building it.
1 16 December 2025, 22:39
Once again lot of thanks for your comments 👍 glad you like the result
Few words for the eventual builders of this kit: it's a real challenge, you have been warned! 😄
AModels compared to this one seem like Tamigawa products 😄
So, think twice before you start, prepare a lot of CA glue, putty and sandpaper.
You also need to scratch few things as the interior is designed according to "one size fits all" philosophy and C-36 has multiple variants (even single examples being modified multiple times over the years).
And don't be surprised if for example both fuselage halves in your boxing seem to be coming from different manufacturers 😄
However, if needed you can easily get replacement decals via LF Models.

My Anigarand C-124C kit (1:72) was perhaps the most challenging I have ever built...
[Completed] Douglas C-124C | Album by DesertMarlin (1:72)
17 December 2025, 20:01
Leaving the sheer size of it aside, looks like similar level of fit 😉
PS. I watched it with envy btw 😄
1 17 December 2025, 20:09
Thank you!!! The process was a bit brutal for the fuselage. I had to use furniture clamps to hold it together...
1 17 December 2025, 21:08
Wow... how beautiful and what a great result, Łukasz! I hope I can get one of these someday and even finish it.
You can be proud of the work you've done. The wait was worth it!
Congrats!
